HI I have an A3 size black and white beautiful quality photograph found in the attic of my father-in-law in Chelmsford, Essex (England - he just unfortunately just passed away). The photo looks like a group of WWI officers, complete with airedale terrier mascot and walking canes, sitting outside the front of a large house (probably in England?). I am pretty sure that no-one in our family was a WWI officer, although several were in the Army as Privates etc, so I assume it must be a photo that one of them was given/asked for of their officers group. I'm thinking from the uniforms someone might be able to identify which regiment they were in (and then where/why they had the photo taken?)? I'm thinking that might help identify why it was in our attic. LADixon

Hi
Yes if the photo is clear and big enough then someone somewhere should be able to give you the regiment.
regards
Robert

Hello LADixon
I am guessing that if it is A3 it might be tricky for you to get a copy onto this forum so we can see it. Perhaps a digital photo of a just few of the men? The important thing to spot at first is any insignia on their uniform, especially on caps, collar, shoulder or sleeves. Any close-ups of anything shpowing there would help.
